The Dirt Wars UK 2018 British National FMB Bronze Series

The series started out in 2010 and as we go into our 9th year with Dirt Wars UK we are just as excited now as we were in 2010 to see what's going to happen this year and to see who is going to be pulling off what tricks on what jumps.

We will again be a part of the FMB World Tour with all rounds being bronze events as we are stoked to announce we will again be the only National Series sanctioned by the FMB.

We have a stacked series this year with some big changes, We have said goodbye to some of our old venues and sponsors and are welcoming some new ones.

For 2018 the series will be backed by Rose Bikes as our Title sponsor.

Rose bikes have been turning out amazing gravity fed and jump bikes for years (As well as every other type of bike you can think of) and we are totally stoked to have them on board. The new Rose Rad Squad have been throwing the Soulfire, The Jester and The Bruce around for the last year and have had some amazing results with the Rose brand. Rose bikes will be offering up a whole host of prizes ranging from a full bike to Rose Branded T-Shirts. We are really looking forward to working with these guys this year.

As well as Rose Bikes we have an awesome sponsorship line up of:

Smuggling Duds SD have been with us since day 1 and we are honoured for them to be with us for 2018 supplying our winners with the best boxer shorts in the world.

PraiseWorthy Apparel Welsh Clothing brand Praiseworthy will be on the scene as our official clothing sponsor for 2018. Not only will our crew be kitted out in PW clothing but we will be gicing away Hoddies, Tracksuits, T-shirts, Hats, Water Bottles and a host of other goodies throughout the series.

Melon Optics If their good enough for British Legend and King of the Oi Oi Ben Deakin then we want them on-board DWUK, Melon Optics have become huge in the Goggle and sunglasses side of the bike industry as they are one of the only company's that let you design your own Goggles and Glasses. Melon will be supplying some of our winners their own custom designed sunnies and Goggles.

Muc-Off Muc-Off have jumped on-board for 2018 to help clean up the banter and bikes at each round of the series. They will be supplying our winners with full bike valeting kits to keep their bikes looking shiney.

We are still awaiting conformation of a few more sponsors so we will be releasing details about these soon.

Dates and Venues We will be kicking off this years series at the legendary trail spot of Chicksands in Bedfordshire. We have been using Chicksands as a venue for DWUK for a number of years now and it’s always proved to be an awesome venue to get the series going and a chance for the riders to get their comp heads on ready for the rest of the series.
Next we will be heading over to Essex to the home of Essex Dirt Jumping Radical Bike Park. This will be the third time we have used Radical as a venue for DWUK and last year it proved to be an awesome spot for a round of the series. We know the guy’s have been working hard all winter on the jumps and we cant wait.
NASS is back and bigger and more mental than ever. The course design looks amazing and this will be our biggest prize purse of the series. £2,000 will be up for grabs as well as a whole host of prizes from our series sponsors too. Altogether the prize purse will be way over £4,500. The Music lineup is looking off the hook with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Damian Marley, Run DMC, Bugzy Malone, De La Soul, Andy C, Wilkinson, Stefflon Don and many many more. DWUK will be taking over the jumps inbetween the BMX World Championships.
The forth round is one of our new venue’s and will be held at Ramps in Llanelli Wales. The owner Adam Williams will be building a dirt jump park on the land situated to the right of the Skatepark. This will be an awesome new spot for dirt jumping in the UK with jumps of all shapes and sizes for beginners straight through to pro’s. The Comp line will be the first jumps to be built at the park in the next few months.
There is only one way to jump to the moon and thats on a Rocket so we are super stoked to announce we will be returning to Rocket World for round 5. Chris “Rocket” Rose and his DirtKraft team will be building a 3 hit course at Rocket World in a months time with a few of the Dirt Wars crew and we seriously cant wait to see it. This is gonna be one awesome round.

The Final round will see us back at Freddy’s yard in East Devon possibly with a few additions and tweaks to the course we built last year. This is the biggest slopestyle course in the UK. This round will also see the over all podiums for the series
