Considering it was the Dirt Wars UK 10th Anniversary Series 2019 could not of been more up and down for DWUK if it tried.
The first two rounds of the year went off amazingly well and were filled with dry trails and beating down sunshine but then the UK just seemed to get beaten with bad weather. Round 3 was scheduled at the Mighty Gt Malverns Classic Festival but after a solid week of rain the festival had to be cancelled on safety grounds so we had to re-schedule the round. We then had the gutting news that RocketWorld had closed its doors due to unforseen circumstances so we had to re-schedule that round too. Come Round 7 (The Final) We had nothing but bad weather which saw us have to postpone the final twice, But in true DWUK Style we have pulled all 7 rounds out the bag and had a full series.
The Final.
Saturday saw nothing but rain and strong winds which left us thinking we would have to postpone the final for a third time but waking up at the venue on Sunday morning (Finals day) we were greeted with awesome sunshine over the misty valley and not a peep from the wind.
The Open Class of riders soon filled up and the Pro turn out was pretty good too (Some still injured and some off doing other stuff). Dirt wars is all about the Open Riders really as we set out to progress riders through the sport and get them up to Euro and worldwide competing level, so with the Open Class stacked with riders we were super stoked. It was great to see new faces and some old faces from the past who turned up to compete.
The Little rippers were out in force and it was great to see the smaller riders pushing each other on and giving each other support and getting encouragement from the older Open class riders and the Pro’s.

After a few hours of practice we racked the Open riders up and started the seeding ready for the final (We like to run seeding instead of knockout rounds as this gives all the riders a second chance to throw it down and get the run they want) and there were Tyre Grabs, 360 attempts, 360’s, Barspins and Backflips being thrown all over the place. All the riders were cheering each other on as each rider dropped
Local Boy Jonathan Neal was throwing down Moto Whips and 360’s whilst young Logan Joao hit out with Tyre Grabs, Tuc’s and Backflips followed by the other little ripper Jamie Scriminger with his Backflips and Tuck No Handers.

Nial Greenstreet came out swinging with 360’s, Backflips and X-Up’s but trying to out do him was our South African rider Antony Brooks throwing out tailwhip attempts and 360’s.
Our Flying Scotsman Aiden McMillan wasn't having the best day and didnt really get any of the runs he wanted but still put out the Backflips, Fully Extended Tuc’s and 360’s whilst Caleb Holford had his heart set on getting the flip on the last (which he eventually did super clean) Dan Vickery couldnt work out what way he wanted to X-up so sent them both ways followed by some sweet 360’s.
After all the riders had 3 runs each (Best run counts) it was over to our Pro riders to unleash the big tricks.
