After months of planning, meetings and e-mails Dirt Wars UK are pleased to announce their 2012 Sponsor line up.

Cliff Barbeary (Founder and Co-Organiser) had this to say;

“After months of Rob Newman and I working day and night to get this years series off the ground we are proud to announce an amazing list of series sponsors.  We have a number of our long term sponsors with us again for 2012 as well as some top notch new comers!”

Spank Industries have taken this years title sponsorship and have come up with some off the hook prizes!  A 2013 sponsorship deal is up for grabs for the overall series winner of the Open Class and a 2013 Spank Industries Pro Sponsorship deal up for grabs in the Pro/Elite Class as well as various Spank products.  Spank were with us for the 1st year of DWUK, then had a year out in 2011 due to UK distribution changes, but in 2012 they’re back bigger and better than ever!!

DMR Bikes are with us again, as they have been since day 1, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.  DMR always put up some of the best prize packages that we have to offer at the Dirt Wars rounds alongside having the largest team of Pro/Elite riders attending series to liven up the competition.

Kenda are back for their second year and we are super stoked to have them onboard.  Cliff has been working with Kenda for 10 years on different projects and they are always a pleasure to represent. This year Kenda will be putting up their Small Block 8 tyres to be won (Kenda Pro Rider, Ryan Nangle’s favourite choice of tyre.)

Saracen are also back for their second year, with their new 2012 Amplitude jump frames and their recent new signing, Blake Samson.  Saracen have gone from strength to strength recently and seem to be putting together a really strong team this year with both Blake Samson and Lance McDermott riding for them.

Ogio will be here again, also for their second year, supplying the best backpacks that you can get your mitt's on.

With best crash in mind what better way to hand out a 'Best crash prize' than in the shape of a Bell Helmet.  Providing the best protection for your bonce, Bell has been a huge player in the head protection market for years and we are stoked to have them onboard again.

Smuggling Duds have really increased their profile within the dirt jumping scene in the last year and its rare to go to a trail spot and not see a pair of Smuggling Duds hanging out the back of someone’s jeans at some point.  Back sponsoring the series for 2012, these really are the boxer shorts of champions.

Nookie Bikes are also back for a 2nd year but this year as sponsor of the ‘Best Trick’ competition.  This will be held at the end of each DWUK round giving all the riders, whether in Pro or Open, a chance to throw down their biggest bangers and impress the crowd.   Each round of the series will include a ‘Nookie Bikes Best Trick’ comp and there’ll be some great prizes from Nookie as well as an exclusive trophy for each comp.  More info on the ‘Nookie Bikes Best Trick’ will be announced on our website closer to round 1.

New to the series we would like to welcome…

www.Mountainbikebitz.com are this years sponsor of the ‘Best Whip’ contest.  A new sponsor for DWUK, MountainBikeBitz.com have roots in moto-x (with their other shop DirtBikeBitz.com) and are chuffed to be giving prizes to whoever pulls the best moto-style whip at each event.

GoPro cameras seem to be the world’s leading portable HD camera, not only are they used on about every reality TV and game show but they also appear right across the extreme sports world.  Whether you want to film underwater, flying through the sky or riding a jump bike, GoPro have it covered with their different housing's and mounts. For 2012 GoPro will be providing DWUK with several full camera setups for filming the events and producing even better, multi-angle highlight videos!

iXS Sports Division are another new brand joining us this year.  You may well have heard of them as series sponsors for the European downhill cup, but they are also making moves in the Dirt Jumping & Slopestyle scenes.  They will be providing us with some great kit from their extensive protection range to give away as prizes during the season.

Hayes Brakes will bring the stopping power for the 2012 series with their Prime disk brake setups as another addition to the prize fund.  Hayes has been one of the top company’s on the MTB disc brake market since day one of the change from V-Brakes to discs, so it’s with great pleasure that we add them as a series sponsor.

Answer components are a brand with great history & heritage behind them.  For this year they will be supplying stems and bars for Open Class podium's, which we’re sure will be a big hit.

Sun Ringle will be supporting the series and they have their Punch Dirt Jumping wheelsets, laced with top notch WheelSmith spokes, to add to the prize fund.

Manitou Suspension have also come onboard for 2012 and will be offering their Circus Expert Dirt Jump forks to podium spot riders.  With both Adam Williams and Daryl Brown riding for Manitou we're sure you will see how well the Circus fork performs throughout the series.

Charge Clothing is another brand with a very strong Moto-X background but also with links and sponsored riders in a number of other extreme sports as well as various music scenes.  They have a great ethos, some great designs and will be providing some super ltd edition T-Shirts for riders on the podium as well as all the DWUK judges & crew.

Illuminati Jeans have joined the sponsor list for 2012.  As a fresh, new London based jeans brand their stylish & high quality products will be up for grabs to those on the podium.

Relentless Energy Drink are joining us for the 2012 series, supplying competitors with their various flavour energy drinks, which we are sure will be a hit amongst the riders. The Relentless Street Team have also been talking about coming along to a few of our events to hand out Relentless to all the participants.  We will also be attending the Relentless NASS Festival in July this year for Round 3 of the series. More info on NASS coming very soon to the DWUK website.

NS Bikes are joining us for their first year and will be putting up some awesome prizes for the Open Class.

MountainBikingUK/Bike Radar will be covering the series on the web and also through their magazine, so keep your eye's peeled for some amazing coverage of the ‘Spank Dirt Wars’ 2012 British Dirt Jump Series.
